Itinerary

ARRIVING IN SRI LANKA

Your journey begins in the town of Negombo, which is close to Bandaranaike International Airport. After you depart from Colombo International Airport, a guide will meet you at the airport’s arrivals area and drive you in a comfortable and opulent car to Negombo, the first destination on this adventure tour of Sri Lanka. Negombo is home to a vibrant and welcoming fishing community. While there, take in the Dutch Canal, also called the Hamilton Canal, which was once part of the Dutch East India Company’s colonial spice route.

The canal connects the Negombo Lagoon and the coast, and you can cross it by boat or on foot. It offers an intriguing look atife in colonial Sri Lanka. ANURADHAPURA

Today Following breakfast, we will drive four hours to Anuradhapura, where you can discover the ancient culture of Sri Lanka. The ancient cities of Kandy, Polonnaruwa, and Anuradhapura are located in the Cultural Triangle, an area of the Central Highlands. A former capital of Sri Lanka was Anuradhapura.

UNESCO currently lists the city as a world heritage monument. It continues to be one of the most resilient and stable hubs of urban life and political power in South Asia. In addition to being a wealthy city, it gave rise to a remarkable civilization and a unique culture. The remnants consist of three types of constructions: royal ponds, monastic buildings, and dagobas (stupas). You will tour the entire Anuradhapura World Heritage Site on this day. Then head back to your comfortable accommodation and relax. If you’re interested, your hotel may offer you an Ayurvedic herbal massage. Stay the night at a resort that honors the environment, such as Sigiriya or Dambulla.

POLONNARUWA

After breakfast, we’ll head to Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka’s second-oldest kingdom. the trip to Polonnaruwa’s UNESCO SITE. We will then travel to a community in Polonnaruwa.We’ll pay the residents a visit and discover their lifestyle. We’ll then get ready to go to Minneriya, the most exciting national park, where you can see hundreds of elephants. We’ll return to your accommodation following the safari tour. In the evening, you will be touring the eateries and cafes in the vicinity of Sigiriya. Stay the night in a resort that honors the environment in Sigiriya or Dambulla.

KANDY

Today Following breakfast, we will depart from the hotel and head to Sigiriya, one of the most famous and stunning locations in Sri Lanka. Sigiriya’s name translates to “lion’s rock.” The height of the rock is almost 200 meters. King Kashyapa founded his empire atop this rock in Sri Lanka in the fifth century, according to Sri Lankan history. We promise that today is going to be fantastic! Admire the massive stone lion paws that guard the top ascension, the mirror wall marked with sanskript, and the antique wall painting.

While admiring the unparalleled views from the summit, you can travel through time and explore the ruins. From here, you can see the national parks of Minneriya and Kaudulla, where you can see a lot of elephants. After touring Lion Rock, we will proceed to the Dambulla Cave Temple. By taking part in this simple climbing sport, you may find creative temples that were built inside caves in the past. Following that, we’re going to Kandy to see the most famous spice garden, where you might find Sri Lankan spices, and the Matale Hindu Temple. You will attend a cultural dance performance at the Temple of the Tooth the day after you arrive in Kandy. NUWARA ELIYA / ELLA BY SCENIC TRAIN TRIP

Before we leave for Nuwara Eliya today, you will get the opportunity to visit the Kandy Botanical Garden. It’s time to visit the tea region of Nuwara Eliya. To learn how tea is created, you can stop at a tea factory along the way. Additionally, try some kinds of fresh tea. The Queen’s Cottage, Grand Hotel, Hill Club, and Town Post Office are just a few of the buildings that date back to the British colonial era, which is why Nuwara Eliya is commonly referred to as “Little England.

” The terms Sri Lanka, tea, and tourism are synonymous. Head for the misty, cold highlands. Enjoy the lovely scent, and don’t forget to end your day in style in a refreshing setting. See the ancient city, Lover’s Leap Waterfall, Victoria Park, and Gregory Lake. Spend the night in the eco-friendly cottage at Nuwara Eliya.

SCENIC TRAIN RIDE TO ELLA

We’ll visit Horton Plains, the most picturesque national park, after breakfast today before riding the train to Ella. A charming train trip through Sri Lanka’s breathtaking tropical mountains is part of this vacation. Board the train as it departs from Nanu Oya train station. Our guide will pick up your bags and meet you at the Ella train station. Savor the vibrant landscapes and intriguing communities that are passing by. Explore the stunning natural beauty of Sri Lanka. EXPLORE ELLA / HIKING ELLA ROCK / LIPTON SEAT

After breakfast, it’s time to hike and enjoy Ella’s little town’s scenic surroundings. Today’s views include Little Adams Peak, Nine Arch Bridge, and waterfalls. In the evening, we will tour the center. This little village has plenty of eateries and taverns for you. Your accommodation at Ella offers a view of the renowned Ella Rock. Stay the night in one of Ella’s five-star hotels.

YALA NATIONAL PARK SAFARI

After breakfast, it’s time to say goodbye to Ella and go to Yala. Now you should go see some leopards, bears, and birds. Join the Yala National Park safari trip in the evening and enjoy a barbecue after spending some time in the woods. You will stay at this quaint motel near Tissa Lake for one night. Yala National Park, the ancient city and temple of Tissamaharama, and the Tissa Lake Bird Safari are all worthwhile destinations. You’ll stay in Yala for one night.

RELAX ON THANGALLA BEACH / HUMMANAYA BLOW HOLE

Located on the southernmost tip of the island, Tangalle boasts one of the island’s best beaches. It is the perfect site to explore tropical Sri Lanka without the crowds of tourists because it is one of the greatest places to experience a more laid-back attitude than its equivalents in Galle and Hikkaduwa. Due to the presence of many different cultures and fascinating colonial monuments, Matara, like other coastal cities in the south, is also well-known for its diverse scenery.

With its pristine beaches, azure seas, and palm trees swaying in the wind, Tangalle is a paradise. Take in all of Tangalle’s attractions, including as the Hummanya Blow Hole and the enjoyable activities offered at Goyambokka Beach. This is where you will stay for one night.

MIRISSA BEACH RELAX

After breakfast today, we’ll head to Mirissa, where you may spend the next two days relaxing on a beautiful beach and view some massive whales. lovely beach with a serene, easygoing atmosphere. Along the shore, there are lots of cafes and restaurants that provide delicious, fresh fish. The restaurants serve seafood barbecue, light lanterns and candles, and arrange tables on the sand as night falls. In Mirissa, you will stay for two nights at a hotel on the sea.

MIRISSA

To see the biggest creatures in the world, we board one of the top boats in the area. Keep an eye on the blue whales swimming, diving, and jumping about you. Relax on the beach in the evening, a great time to savor a tasty meal while taking in the nighttime beach scene. Overnight in a hotel beside the beach.

GALLE / UNAWATUNA

After breakfast, proceed to Galle. Watch the Weligama stilt fisherman fish while traveling. After that, explore the old Portuguese fort, later enlarged and restored by the Dutch. It’s still in excellent shape. Galle, the seat of the southern province, has a rich history. As a World Heritage monument, the Galle Fort stands as the largest surviving stronghold in Asia, built by European colonists. You are also free to visit the nicest rainforest beach in Unawatuna and engage in a range of water activities. Spend the night at a hotel beside the shore.

BENTOTA / COLOMBO

Today Following breakfast, we’ll head to Colombo for your last night there and explore the city of Sri Lanka. It’s time to visit Gangarama Temple, Pettah Market, or Colombo’s nightlife, or go shopping, eat at a local restaurant, or walk around Galle Face Green. You will be lodging at the Sea View Hotel in Colombo. Spend the night at a hotel on the beach or in the city.

COLOMBO AIRPORT

The tour is about to come to an end. Today, at your chosen time, we will drop you off at the airport or another Colombo location.
